TIRASPOL (Tiraspol Times) - Besiktas soccer club of Turkey beat FC Sheriff Tiraspol of Pridnestrovie 3-0 in the second leg of the European Champions League second qualifying round match in Tiraspol on Wednesday night. Besiktas advanced to 3rd qualifying round while Sheriff dropped out as a result of the defeat.

The match took palce in Sheriff Stadium where Besiktas' Bobo scored two goals (min. 57 and 69) and Koray's goal (min. 90) defined the match score. The Black and White Eagles took a one goal advantage into the second leg, after its less than convincing 1-0 win in Istanbul a week earlier.

Having struggled to break down Sheriff in the first leg of the tie in Istanbul a week ago, the difference between the two sides being just a single goal, it was a far more convincing performance from the Black and White Eagles this time around.

However, it was not until deep into the second half that they were able to break down the home side’s packed defence, with Bobo scoring a brace in the 57th and 69th minutes. Koray added the icing with a goal in the last minute of regulation time, giving Besiktas a three nil win on the night and a four nil aggregate over the two legs.

While Tello, Ibrahim Kas and Koray (Besiktas) got yellow cards, Kuchuk from (Sheriff Tiraspol) also got a yellow card in the match. Mamah (also Sheriff Tiraspol) was kicked out with a red card.
