Work is currently also underway on a fourth movie theater as part of the multiplex cinema. Billed as a small exclusive art cinema, this part of Tiraspol's multiplex will have a separate entrance and a "VIP"-setting with deep seated armchairs and sofas, along with a restaurant menu of food and beverages. It will be primarily for showing alternative movies.
" - The cinema will now stay open long term," says Vladimir Spiridonov, the director of the cinema.
In addition to "Rush Hour 3", the second premiere is a Russian action movie, "The Apocalypse Code". This is the 44th film starring Swiss-born movie star Vincent Perez, an actor mostly known for his roles in French films. The plot, which deals with terrorists trying to acquire nuclear weapons, shows a secret service agent making the world safe for democracy.
Also playing is "Surf's Up", an animated family comedy from Columbia Pictures. The cartoon - which calls itself a major ocean picture - features penguins in a surf championship and is billed as "a behind-the-scenes look at the annual Penguin World Surfing Championship, and its newest participant, up-and-comer Cody Maverick."
New movies will be added weekly, Spiridonov informs.
