Disregarding popular support for Pridnestrovie's upcoming independence referendum, Borys Tarasyuk, the foreign minister of Ukraine, has refused to send observers to monitor the voting. In contrast, the country's largest party will be sending its own observers. Ukraine's Union of Orthodox Citizens also supports Pridnestrovie's right to democratically choose its own future. [more]
