Trans-Dniester exports down 23.2% due to "economic cold war"
Year-on-year exports from Pridnestrovie (Transdniester) are off 23.2% due to what the local government describes as an economic blockade. Despite its heavy blow to the struggling economy, the statistic is better than expected. For part of 2006, exports were nearly cut in half. [more]
